The River Garry as it flows through the Pass of Killiecrankie looking up to the Soldier’s Leap where on 27 July 1689 Scottish government soldier Donald McBane from Inverness jumped across the river to escape pursuing Jacobite highlanders following the Battle of Killiecrankie.
